ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS
Lesson Introduction :
• Read the story Creepy Carrots followed by comprehension questions.
• Guided Lesson:
• Today, you will work with a partner to build a structure to contain the creepy carrots similar to what Jasper did in the story.
• Your group will be provided a variety of items to build this structure
• Go over pre-discussion questions listed above
• You will have 30 minutes to complete the challenge
• Students are provided supplies and set out to work with an assigned partner/partners
• Students are given time updates in order to help them stay on track
• When time is up the students will tour the classroom to observe everyone’s structure
• Gather together for reflection questions
