CATCH/HOOK
Begin discussion on the types of technology used at home - provide students an opportunity to describe the devices used, apps and programs they know, etc.
ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS
Begin with hook -
Hand out Chromebooks with labels including log in credentials. These Chromebooks will be yours to use for the next 5 years. How should we treat the Chromebooks so they last? Turn on, log in if you know how, raise your hand if you need partner or teacher assistance.
Navigate to Google Classroom have students confirm that they are in the class
Lead class discussion on behavior and comments in Google Classroom
Introduce other websites, apps, programs to be used for the year have students log in and ensure credentials work for each site
