  1. To use a VR/AR program, for students to use to learn letters and letter sounds to read fluently. Examples- Was the set-up easy?

  3. To create a more entertaining platform for students to be more at ease to participate in a lesson without the judgement of their peers in the classroom setting. Videos- Did you have fun?

Halo AR is a free mobile app that empowers anyone to create more engaging virtual learning experiences with augmented reality.

ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS

Steps to make a AR book:

  1. Get a book.
  2. Download the Halo AR app
  3. Take a picture of a “trigger.”
  4. Record audio or a video of you reading a book or passage.
  5. CREATE a AR book with Halo AR app.
  6. Try it out!

Students get iPads or phones to scan their trigger to view the overlay of the story or video of them reading a book.
