Overview

Students will brainstorm what technology is, what it looks like and the parts/functions of a computer.

ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS

20 minutes -Carpet discussions What is technology, examples -With partners play a technology matching game with different types of technology images. Monitor for following directions, taking turns, successful matches -Hand out a post it. Have each student draw a picture of something that is NOT technology. -Play Technology Bingo.
Check students background knowledge, vocab. Can they identify the items? -Show diagram of a laptop/chromebook. Discuss the labeled parts and what their job is. -Students will identify technology in the classroom and label it with a post it T.
